David L. Poole is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia and an Artificial Intelligence researcher. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto in 1995 and has since made significant contributions to the field of AI, particularly in probabilistic reasoning and decision making. He is also a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery.
