Murray Shanahan is a Professor of Cognitive Robotics at Imperial College London and a Senior Research Scientist at DeepMind. He received a First in Computer science from Imperial College in 1984 and a Ph.D. in computer Science from Cambridge University in 1988. His research interests span artificial intelligence, robotics, cognitive science, logic, dynamical systems, computational neuroscience, and philosophy of mind.
Murray has held various academic positions throughout his career, including as a postdoc at Imperial College, an EPSRC advanced research fellow at Queen Mary & Westfield College (London), and a lecturer and senior lecturer at Imperial College.
